This would be the third Top 40 hit for Ray Charles. On 11/25/57, he spent a week at #34 with Swanee River Rock (Talkin' 'Bout That River) . On 7/20/59, What'd I Say (Part I & II) made its debut and peaked at #6. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986. Sadly, Ray died on 6/10/04 of liver cancer (age 73).
