Big week for artists new to the Hot 100, though very familiar to the airplay charts. New this week are dance singer Chantay Savage and well-known rapper Busta Rhymes. The Presidents Of The United States Of America made their first debut, though took to the airplay charts with Lump on 9/16/95 peaking at #21. Our most noticeable debut this week comes from Alanis Morissette. Already well-known to the airplay charts, on 7/1/95 You Oughta Know made its' debut peaking at #13. On 9/16/95 Hand In My Pocket would debut and peak at #15. She returns to the airplay charts on 9/7/96 with Head Over Feet spending 6 weeks at #3 and a 35 week stay! On 4/25/98, Uninvited debuts and peaks at #4. Finally, she retuns to the airplay charts on 10/10/98 with Thank U peaking at #2 for a week.
